Mr. Sameer Hamid Dodhy, President, Pakistan Belgium Business Forum

PBBF Mr Sameer Hamid Dodhy is a graduate engineer. He is an entrepreneur and is running his own business. He has served on the board of Pakistan Belgium Business Forum for almost a decade.

He is involved with a number of business and social organizations associations. Currently he is also a member of Economic Freedom Network, Karachi Toastmasters Club, Shehri-CBE, Human Rights Commission of Pakistan and Arts Council of Pakistan,

His personal passion is working with a various civil advocacy groups as a volunteer because of his conviction that it only through raising public consciousness and effectively articulating citizen pressure that good governance can be implemented.

Mr. Sameer Hamid Dodhy has conducted a number of seminars to citizen groups. He has also participated in numerous lobbying efforts for better governance to local government officials and provincial parliamentarians.

His special interest is to strengthen Freedom of Information legislation and implementation for more effective governance.

 

 

Mr. Mohammed A. Rajpar, Vice President, Pakistan Belgium Business Forum

PBBF Mr.Mohammad A.Rajpar is currently a Trustee of Karachi Port trust since March, 2009 and Board Member of Karachi Dock Labour Board since 1996. He also served as Board Member of Port Qasim Authority from March, 2006 to June, 2008 and was reappointed on 2nd June, 2009.
He belongs to the Ports and Shipping industry and is Managing Director of General Shipping Agencies (Pvt) Ltd. since 1992. He completed his Master of Philosophy (Economics & Politics) from Cambridge University, U.K. in 1992 and Bachelor of Science (Business Administration) from Bucknell University, Pa, U.S.A in 1989.
He serves or has served on various bodies such as Prime Minister's National Trade Corridor Improvement Programme, Ministry of Ports and Shipping Advisory Committee on Ship-owning, Planning Commission Task Force on Maritime Industry and Negotiation Committee, Gwadar Port Implementation Authority.
He is active in various business organizations such as Pakistan Ship's Agents Association as Chairman for 2006-07, 2008-09 and 2010-11, KCCI Diplomatic Affairs Sub-Committee as Vice Chairman for 2007-08, Senior Vice Chairman for 2008-09 and 2009-10 and Advisor for 2010-11,2011-12 and 2012-2013 and Pakistan Belgium Business Forum as President from 2001-04 and 2007-10 and Vice President from 2005-06 and 2011-12.
He served British Overseas School as Vice Chairman from September, 2007 to August, 2011 and is now serving as Chairman since September, 2011.

 

 

 

Mehelli B. Dinshaw, Secretary General, Pakistan Belgium Business Forum

PBBF Mehelli B. Dinshaw is a Flour Milling Engineer by profession but from 1966 joined as Partner his family business of Dinshaw & Company, a Cargo Handling, Stevedoring and Shipchandling Firm established in 1883. In the firm's centenary year 1983, he setup Dinshaw Terminal Services Private Limited and started the newly built Port Mohammad Bin Qasim as its first Cargo Handling Company and Terminal Operator.

In his over 45 years professional experience in Stevedoring and Cargo Handing he has served in many positions and committees, a handful are enumerated below.

PBBFSince 1995 he is Sole Representative in Pakistan for VIGAN Engineering S.A., Belgium, world leaders in the design, manufacture, supply and turnkey contractors of pneumatic bulk grain ship tower loaders and unloaders, mobile ship loaders & unloaders, material handling and conveying equipment.
PBBFAlso represents on project to project basic, Chief Silos Inc. USA and Chief Industries UK, leading manufacturers and suppliers of steel grain silos, and material handling equipment.
PBBFThrough his efforts both these 2 companies were jointly selected by Fauji Akbar Portia Marine Terminals (FAP) to supply all machinery and equipment for their newly established Grain and Fertilizer terminal at Port Qasim, which is now operational.

Mr. Asif Ali Rashid, Executive Committee Member, Pakistan Belgium Business Forum

PBBF Mr. Asif Ali Rashid was born in India. He did his graduation in 1967 and his Chartered Accountancy in 1969.

He started his career as a member of the Karachi Stock Exchange and thereafter entered into trading business. He progressed and became a prominent businessman of Karachi, Pakistan.

He has an astute and detailed knowledge of the financial products and command of financial management. His entrepreneurial skills are additional qualifications which have been instrumental in the business success of the group.

Mr. Asif Ali Rashid has realized his business vision in diversified fields in Pakistan.

He is an Executive Committee member of Pak Belgium Business Forum. He is also a member of Pak Japan, Pak France, Pak Germany, Pak Sri Lanka and Pak Italian Business Forums and life member of SAARC Chamber of Commerce & Industry.

 

Mr. Faisal Iftikhar, Pakistan Belgium Business Forum

PBBF Mr. Faisal Iftikhar did his graduation in 1991 from University of Engineering and Technology Lahore as a Mechanical Engineer.

In 1999 started business after venturing into Seafood Exports. In the last 12 years have been involved in all aspect of Sea Food Business. Deep sea fishing operations a joint venture with South Korean partners being one of the many interesting and adventurous ones.

He is currently holding following offices:

Mr. Zahid Dada , Pakistan Belgium Business Forum

PBBFZahid Dada is the Managing Partner of Steel Agencies Corporation (SAC) since 1986. He belongs to the well reputed business community of Pakistan.

SAC works with world renowned steel manufacturers as their representative and preferred sales channel for Pakistan.

Mr. Zahid Dada is currently Vice President of Pakistan Belgium Business Forum.

He has served as the President of Pakistan Belgium Business Forum in 2005 -2006 and as Vice President for 2007-2008, 2009-2010 and 2011-2012.

In his youth, he has had the honor to lead the Rotaract Club of Karachi as District Secretary, President and Director and as head of various committees.

He has completed his certification course in Business Administration from UCLA, USA in 1985 and   Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from NED University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi in 1983.

 

Mr. Takreem-ul-Haque, Treasurer, Pakistan Belgium Business Forum

PBBFMr. Takreem-ul-Haque completed his Masters in Industrial Economics from University of Brussels ; he worked at a good position in Brussels for about 15 years. In 1989 he joined the Honorary Consulate of Belgium in Karachi . Later became the Honorary Vice Consul. He is serving Pakistan Belgium Business as Treasurer since 1997.

He assisted Embassy in their programs, in hosting trade delegation to Pakistan . He occupied himself with different governmental and promotional programs. He also assisted Belgian Company from 1989 to 1993 in various appointments their personnel's having prolongation of their visas etc. constructing a Fishing Port in Gwadar. He is found of playing tennis and cricket and have a strong grip on English, French and German.
